I recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff is really friendly and accomodating, always ready to help with requests. Rooms are spotless and the en suite bathroom does not have the cramped feel that I have noticed in some other low- mid range Dubai hotels. Also this hotel is right in the center of things as far as Dubai is concerned and you can get just about anywhere in a taxi in about 10-15 minutes. It should also be noted that because of the high concentration of hotels along Khalid bin Walid Road, there are many bars and restaurants within walking distance. It seems to me that this hotel mainly appeals to a younger crowd. I did not see any guests that appeared to be past their early to mid 30's.
This hotel has a great Irish pub called Waxy O'Connor's (which also serves food), as well as a Russian restaurant and a Japanese Restaurant. The food at the hotel is good and the pub always seems to be packed in the evenings. The hotel also offers satellite TV and complimentary toiletry items you may have forgotten such as combs and razors.
