Guys, better stay away from this hotel.
Dirty & smelly environmet and non-friendly staff. I booked online and checked out within 30 minutes without even bothering about my full advance payment.

I stayed there for 5 days. It is a cheap hotel with rooms rate of around 90USD per night when you booked online. There are few bars and clubs in the hotel so some rooms will tend to have some noise coming through the rooms. I stayed in the top floor. So noise problem wasnt so bad. The neighbourhood is a relatively cheap shopping area, with several indian cuisines restaurant. Have fun.
Clapham Junction is a casual Rock 'n' Roll bar, features live music, and offers a dance floor. It's nothing fancy, but provides the setting for down-to-earth fun and letting your hair loose.
We spent New Years Eve 2003/2004 and danced the night away. The band was great doing covers from the complete spectrum of R&R.

Note: The do offer different types of music on different nights, so make sure and call ahead to find out about the theme of the evening. totally casual.

I am in Dubai from this Sun the 18th till Thur 22nd. On my own and staying at the Rush Inn.
I am Scottish, 27 yrs old, and want to see the sights and have a good time at night too.
Anyone got any info on Rush Inn?
Any advice for evenings?

Well, the hotel is located in Bur Dubai ("old Dubai") meaning that you are close to the souks (=bazaars) and also not too far away from some wicked nightlife.

For shopping, you are also close to the BUR JUMAN Mall and the COMPUTER PLAZA (Al Ain Centre) for electronics.
For NIGHTLIFE, the 2 closest spots are WAXY O'CONNORS Irish Pub in the Ascot Hotel.
And also ROCK BOTTOM'S in the Regent Palace Hotel.
