Fusion Before 19.15
by Ali&Steve about Teatro
Situated on the 3rd floor of the Towers Rotana Hotel, diners at the window seat get a great view of the towers on the Sheikh Zayed Road. For those seated elsewhere, the views are still great, particularly the glass walled wine store (difficult to say cellar 30 metres up). The food is a great mix of Indian, Thai, Singaporean, and Japanese. The fixed menus have show themes with titles such as: Phantom of the Opera and the King and I and mix such things as sushi with tom yam etc etc. If the offer is still on, order before 19.15 and all the food is half price. You will not beat this for value given the quality of the food. All of it: it's well presented and I haven't had a bad dish there yet.

There was also a selection of desserts such as chocolate cake, creme caramel, fresh fruit, etc., and a selection of cheeses and crackers. Best located new hotel
by erikute3534 about Rotana Towers
Located half way between the Beach in Jumeirah and the city centre, on the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, this hotel is great for the leisure or business traveler. Rooms are classically designed, all have a small kitchenette area and have many additional amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities, mini bars and satellite television. The hotel has the longest bar in the middle east, aptly named "Longs", here you can enjoy light bites and a number of beverage promotions. Alternatively the hotel has 2 full service restaurants and 2 slightly lighter options. In addition the hotel has a number of recreational activities for guests with a state of the art gymnasium and an outdoor swimming pool. Guests will receive complimentary shuttle to a first class beach club where a reduced charge of 50 AED has been negotiated. Good location

ONLY HERE FOR 3 DAYS
by pj2904
Hi,
Soon to be arriving in Dubai, but only staying a short time, I would love to hear about the best activities to cram into my short stay. We are staying at the Towers Rotana and are planning on some desert activities, seeing a show, shopping, maybe a waterpark. And anything else fun to do. Thanks.

Towers Rotana is on Sh. Zayed Road, which is between the city and 'New Dubai'.
Water park has to be Wild Wadi which you can check out at www.wildwadi.com
That's next to Souk Madinat which you must also visit. Check that out at www.madinatjumeirah.com/shopping/
Plenty of shopping malls - the nearest to you is Mall of the Emirates which has 400 shops, Ski Dubai, plenty of cafes & restaurants etc. Also worth visiting and not too far away are Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall. I have photos & info on them in my Dubai Shopping Tips.
After sunset you should also go into the city to the Creek and the old souk and shopping areas. I think you're coming when it's still a bit too hot for wandering around in the daytime (if I remember correctly).I also have info on these areas on my Dubai pages.
