    Good hotel and excellent breakfast

    by

We stayed a couple of nights early February 2008 in this hotel. Rooms are clean, quite big and fully equipped with TV, mini-bar, hair-dryer and ensuite bathroom.
The hotel has several restaurants and bars and the breakfast buffet in the 2nd floor is excellent, with all you can expect from a high-class hotel.
The hotel has also a gym and pool in an adjacent building.
    Recommended.

    Excellent value

    by

Genuine 5-star amenities and treatment. Swimming pool a bit awkardly located in an adjacent building. Good restaurants, fun bar in the basement ("the longest in the Middle East").

Unique Quality: Decent business traveller's floor and services, but of course if you like an extensive breakfast get it from the buffet in the restaurant on the 2nd floor.

More about Towers Rotana Hotel

Fusion Before 19.15

by Ali&Steve about Teatro

Situated on the 3rd floor of the Towers Rotana Hotel, diners at the window seat get a great view of the towers on the Sheikh Zayed Road. For those seated elsewhere, the views are still great, particularly the glass walled wine store (difficult to say cellar 30 metres up). The food is a great mix of Indian, Thai, Singaporean, and Japanese. The fixed menus have show themes with titles such as: Phantom of the Opera and the King and I and mix such things as sushi with tom yam etc etc. If the offer is still on, order before 19.15 and all the food is half price. You will not beat this for value given the quality of the food. All of it: it's well presented and I haven't had a bad dish there yet.

Flavours of the World Theme Nights buffet

by chizz about Flavours on Two

For a tasty all-you-can-eat-and-drink-buffet with live cooking station, why not try one of the theme nights at Flavours on Two at the Towers Rotana Hotel.
The themed nights are as follows:

Saturday - International Flavours - AED169
Sunday - Flavours from the Rotisserie - AED169
Monday - Flavours from India - AED169
Tuesday - Flavours from Britain - AED169
Wednesday - Flavours from the Ocean - AED189
Thursday and Friday - Flavours from Italy - AED179

You can also add bubbly for an all-inclusive price of: AED199 (Sat-Tues), AED219 (Wed) and AED209 (Thurs and Fri). If you book a table for 10 diners from Sat-Wed - 2 eat for free.

My husband and I tried the "Flavours of the Ocean" Buffet and were pleased with the choice of dishes such as: salads, seafood salads, prawns, salmon, paella, fresh oysters, live cooking station - Mongolian BBQ style, different types of fresh fish cooked in different sauces and a selection of other hot dishes such beef and chicken dishes as well as vegetables and rice. There was also a selection of desserts such as chocolate cake, creme caramel, fresh fruit, etc., and a selection of cheeses and crackers. Alcoholic beverages such as white and red wine, beer and spirits like vodka, whiskey and gin were included, as well as soft drinks and water, tea and coffee. Overall, we felt the buffet was good value.

Reservations are recommended as it can get very busy in the evening. Open daily from 6am-11.30pm as breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served at the restaurant buffet-style as well as a la carte. Dinner begins at 7pm. "Flavours of the Ocean" Buffet - oysters, seafood salads, salmon, prawns.

Best located new hotel

by erikute3534 about Rotana Towers

Located half way between the Beach in Jumeirah and the city centre, on the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, this hotel is great for the leisure or business traveler. Rooms are classically designed, all have a small kitchenette area and have many additional amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities, mini bars and satellite television. The hotel has the longest bar in the middle east, aptly named "Longs", here you can enjoy light bites and a number of beverage promotions. Alternatively the hotel has 2 full service restaurants and 2 slightly lighter options. In addition the hotel has a number of recreational activities for guests with a state of the art gymnasium and an outdoor swimming pool. Guests will receive complimentary shuttle to a first class beach club where a reduced charge of 50 AED has been negotiated. Good location

ONLY HERE FOR 3 DAYS

by pj2904

Hi,
Soon to be arriving in Dubai, but only staying a short time, I would love to hear about the best activities to cram into my short stay. We are staying at the Towers Rotana and are planning on some desert activities, seeing a show, shopping, maybe a waterpark. And anything else fun to do. Thanks.

Towers Rotana is on Sh. Zayed Road, which is between the city and 'New Dubai'.
Water park has to be Wild Wadi which you can check out at www.wildwadi.com
That's next to Souk Madinat which you must also visit. Check that out at www.madinatjumeirah.com/shopping/
Plenty of shopping malls - the nearest to you is Mall of the Emirates which has 400 shops, Ski Dubai, plenty of cafes & restaurants etc. Also worth visiting and not too far away are Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall. I have photos & info on them in my Dubai Shopping Tips.

After sunset you should also go into the city to the Creek and the old souk and shopping areas. I think you're coming when it's still a bit too hot for wandering around in the daytime (if I remember correctly).I also have info on these areas on my Dubai pages.
