    Made My Stay Very Comfortable!

    by

Traders Hotel in Dubai is based in the district of Deira, which is about a 5 to 10 minute journey to the city centre on a taxi. The hotel is located literally minutes from the airport and is ideal for tired travellers who just want to get some rest. It is a 4* hotel with a 5* feel and it has a unique cosmopolitan theme all around.

The service in the hotel was absolutely TOP NOTCH. This is no exaggeration. Every member of staff was polite and made me feel welcome as a guest. They went out of their way to help in whatever way they could.

I hired a car during my stay in Dubai (hertz.com) and this set me back about £84 for 7 days. The hotel has basement parking which is safe and secure and also free for guests. You simply drop your car at the entrance and the porter goes and parks it for you. Or you can park it yourself if you wish.

The breakfast at the hotel is also worth a mention. It takes place in its in-house restaurant "The Junction" which also has a cosmopolitan feel. The food variety is huge, you can choose from 6 different types of corn flakes, fruit, cakes, fried dishes, noodles... you name it! You can also have your food made to order, such as an omelette. If you decide to request breakfast in your room, you end up paying high rates, so that is not recommended.

The hotel also does currency conversion but I found the rates offered were not very competitive with local currency converters. I would not recommend converting your money in to dirhams at any hotel in the UAE as it is likely you will get a lot less than if you were to go to a local shop.

I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. The service is the best I have experienced for this class of hotel. The only negative I can think of is that the building is only 6 stories high which means the views are not as good as taller buildings. However, this shouldn't put you off as everything else is all good.

Unique Quality: The facilities at the hotel are also very impressive. Each room has an impressive interactive computer system where you can use the TV to surf the Internet (about £1/hour), book a wakeup call, find out more about hotel facilities and also view your room bill.

The hotel also has a swimming pool along with a spa. The swimming pool is mixed and is open from 6am to 11pm. Adjacent to the pool is a large gym. All of these facilities are free for all guests.

by maztek about TRADERS HOTEL

I stayed here for 4 nights with my children in Feb 2005. The stay was most memorable since the wedding anniversary of my son was during this stay. The hotel surprised us with a anniversary cake on the day. Spacious rooms, clean and well maintained rooms with all standard amenities.

I always go to Satwa for things like that.

Or head further south past Mall of the Emirates, where you'll see (clearly visible from the metro) lots of wholesale warehouses selling building materials..

I agree with Colin... head to Satwa.

Or, you could also go to DragonMart... we found some great deals on Bath tubs, tiles, shower corners, etc. here.
