Re: UAE tourist visa for Serbian passport holders

by explore_discover

A special category of visas under the Visit Visa type is a Tourist Visa, which can be obtained for individual tourists from: East and West Europe, Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine, Albania, Russia, the Hellenic Republic, St Kitts-Navis, St Lucia, Mexico, Cuba, Bermuda, Belize, Guyana, French Guiana, Martinique, Antigua and Barbuda, St Vincent, Kingston, Palao other non-defined American nationalities, Thailand, South Africa, Singapore, China, Malta, Cyprus.

The Tourist Visa entitles its holder to a 30 day stay and is non-renewable. The Tourist Visa requires the sponsorship of hotels and tour operators who bring in visitors from the above listed countries. The fee is AED 100. There is also a fee of AED 10 for visa delivery service by DNATA. Hotels, hotel apartments, tour operators, travel agents and airlines may not levy supplementary charges or processing fees in excess of AED 50/- for arranging visas for Visitors.

Contact UAE Embassy nearest to you for details and procedure and for the clarification if Serbia falls to the category for Visa on Arrival Facility.

Serbian citizens will require a visa and sponsor, I think. Again, no diploatic mission near Serbia:

Travel Tips for Dubai

amazing architecture

by call_me_rhia

Dubai is home of the most amazing modern and futuristic architecture one could ever imagine... it's as if a magical world would poen up in front of you and you really feel like Alice in Wonderland. I'm normally not a fan of this type of architecture, but Dubai, somehow, has stolen my heart. Some unforgettable architectural sights are inside some of the larger shopping centres... my very favourite being the bur juman... amazing architecture, mostly not on the tacky side (read: mercato, wafi city)

Overnight stop in Dubai

by keo123

I flew from Perth. Australia to Hamburg via Dubai. The overnight stop in Dubai was gladly welcome after the 12 hour flight from Perth. Main luggage are sent straight through to Hamburg. You don't get to pick it up and take it with you in Dubai. Much more convenient of course but passengers in transit in Dubai should pack a small overnight bag with essentials (toiletries, change of underwear, etc) for the overnight stay.

Buy your gold in Dubai

by Nemoa about Crystal Jewellery.

I never got to shop for gold at the Gold Souq but I got a couple of pressies from my husband from one of the Gold commercial centres.
These are spread all over the city and they have got plenty of stuff to choose from and some designs a bit more Europeand than what you can find at the Gold Souq.

Always remember to bargain and never accept the first price. The price of the gold is the one in the international market so it is a good idea to check before you head for your shopping and last but not least, ask for your certificates of authenticity.

And enjoy your shopping!! All sorts of gold items, diamonds and precious stones. Depends a great deal on the item. You have got all sort of prices.
But remember to BARGAIN.

Smithfield of Dubai

by jamie_uk about Rock Bottom

American bar type place, with american style food, bottles of bud, pool tables and mad cocktails ('the bullfrog' is the signature mixture of all white spirits and blue curacao...mmm tasty...*** where am I ?). Live band as well.
Was full of blokes when we went, but am told it can be a meat market hence the title of this tip ! So go down there if you're on the pull !
My wife got 2 free drinks, of course I got nothing, being but a lowly male. The bloke on the door tried to get us to pay to get in, but dont pay it's free entry. Casual - don't dress up you'll look like a muppet.

Avoid to overstay your visa

by bzh

Avoid to overstay your visa when in the UAE because it will cost you 100 dhiram per extra day at immigration when you want to leave. You need to be careful about dates because the UAE use the Hejira calendar, as opposed to the Gregorian one. The Hejira calendar is a lunar calendar where months are 29 or 30 days long. To be on the safe side, count 29 days a month to calculate the date when your visa expires.
