by Cielo_Algaeed Burj AL Arab is the famous landmark of Dubai as of today. The most expensive & luxurious accomodation in UAE. They are self proclaimed 7 star hotel, though technically speaking there is no such thing as 7 star hotel :-). They are just one of the 5 stars hotel in the world. Famous celebrities, politicians, athletes etc are of common site here :-) if you will ask me if i tried to dine inside and see for myself the interior of the hotel? Sorry, i did not have the chance to do so. The in house resto's are having bad publicity and negative reviews regarding the food and the pricey drinks and food. SO we just decided to skip this activity and just have a souvenir photo outside hehehe. by bijo69 This hotel was certainly a good place for an overnight stay in Dubai. It seemed to me that one wing was reserved for stranded Emirates Airlines passengers like, with a check-in counter at the reception. My room was very spacious with two queen size beds, TV, internet connection, safe, aircon and fridge. The hotel has a couple of shops, a beauty parlor, swimmingpool and a couple of restaurants. Lunch and dinner which was provided for me was buffet-style in one of the restaurants. The food was very good and there was ample choice for vegetarians (like myself). Good place to stay, especially if it is for free :).

People often ask in the Forum whether their hotel will be affected by the massive construction that's happening in Dubai. Construction behind the string of hotels along Jumeirah Beach - including Sheraton, Hilton, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, Royal Meridien, One & Only Royal Mirage and others - has largely been finished. There is now a very pleasant promenade of shops and restaurants. There is construction all over Dubai and things move very quickly so it's best to ask the specific question in the Forum about your hotel before you book it.
The main attraction of these hotels is the beachfront location and superb beach clubs. They also all have great restaurants and most have daily dinner buffets which are fantastic value. Now there is also The Walk, a restaurant and retail area that is part of Jumeirah Beach Residence and has plenty of pavement cafes and restaurants for outdoor dining in the better months, which is October through April. by Quero This is a fairly typical four-star chain hotel. The staff work at a leisurely pace, so expect that check-in may be a little frustrating if you've arrived on a long-haul flight. The rooms are comfortable, water is plentiful, and breakfast is a delight. The hotel is situated in the Deira area, not far from the central business district, and about a 5-minute ride from the DXB airport. Unfortunately, due to its location, virtually noplace a visitor might want to go is within walking distance, so transportation by taxi is necessary. That is the price one pays for a more modest rate, I suppose.
Good value for money. Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Dur Dubai Road, Deira, Dubai City

Our room - or part of it at least! by hunter.nigel If for a while you can manage a trip where money is absolutely not an issue then this could be the place to stay - its pricey - very pricey - in fact very, very pricey a over ?550 per night for a regular suite. The rooms are totally amazing having said that. Our bedroom was up the sweeping spiral staircase from our huge lounge. Also upsatirs was the largest bathroom you could imagine, complete with spa bath and full size toiletries from Hermes! The hotel is also the highest hotel in the world, but with so few other tall buildings around it is difficult to get a judgement - you just feel high and thats all there is too it. The restaurant on the top floor is a great place to 'swank' away the evening, but it does get a little boring when you get so many other people pretending to have eaten there just to get into the bar to see the view - the hotel needs a viewing area to prevent this happening - its not the tourists fault, you cant blame them for wanting to see the view, its just a shame that they do it whilst you are eating a really expensive romantic meal with your wife! If you are staying at the hotel you do get use of the residents only pool, which although not huge is gloriuos. The pool boys will provide you cold watr and drinks till the camels come home and even spray you with evian mist ond rub sun cream into those hard to reach places on your back. When i stayed, the IMF coonference was on, which i suspect keeps the place going, which meant it was fairly busy and security was very tight - well it would be with all the worlds key financial ministers under one roof - but it was still rumoured Robbie Williams was staying too (About the most popular british pop act for ages if you dont know who he is) All in all it is amazing - but you have to be prepared - it is a show piece and you might feel a little under important - but hell if you are paying so much - use the pool, the butler, the restaurants and the free evian mist! ~ Beautiful view from the hotel room ~ by Heavens-Mirror, 4 more photos We upgraded our room to a superior sea view for 175 AED per night. It is well worth the money. The room was very clean and spacious, we had bath robes, tea & coffee making facilities, mini bar & an enormous king size bed which was very comfortable & very hard to get out of each morning because you had such a nice sleep. The hotel has two restaurants, the Oregano which is a Mediterranean restaurant and set out like a country farm house which was very nice. Then there was the Singapura restaurant which was Far Eastern cuisine, we ate here twice because it was so good and the service was fantastic too. There is also the buffet restaurant called the Bazaar, this is where meals are served. It is laid out like an open cooking station with chefs cooking the meals fresh in front of you. The Bazaar was highly enjoyable every night with a different theme each evening. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice for everyone, they had Kellogg's cereals, fresh Fruits and juices, Full English breakfast even with Pork bacon & sausages, pancakes & an organic corner. We enjoyed the themed bar at night called Charlie Parrot's, its set out like a rain forest with palm trees, flowers and parrots every where. There are about 4-5 flat screen tv's so you can watch the live football which was on most afternoons. There is also a live band on each evening & then a dj. Or you can visit the piano bar on 1st floor for a relaxing evening and enjoy a drink or two. The pool area and gardens were beautiful, lots of sun beds with comfortable mattresses for you to relax. It was never hard to find somewhere to sun bathe unlike some holiday's we've been on. It was peaceful and relaxing. Waiters would come round to see if you would like a drink or any snacks so you could enjoy a drink whilst sunbathing or you could try the pool bar which is the largest pool bar in Dubai. We would sit in the pool bar for a couple of hours a day talking to the nice friendly staff.
Every evening when we were getting ready to go out our room attendant would come round with complimentary bottles of water and chocolates which was a really nice touch, he was very polite and charming. Our favourite bar man at the pool bar was Olee, he is from the Philippines and was very nice to talk to. He called us "His Couple" and we would have some good laughs together at the bar. We were very sad to leave the Oasis Beach hotel, it really was our most enjoyable holiday of all time and we cant wait to go back next year again. Yes Dubai is expensive, but it is money well spent and well worth every penny Theme: HotelPrice: US$120-180 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Jumeriah Beach, Dubai

I've been shown over the hotel and have reports from people who've stayed here, and I can recommend it. A small boutique hotel with only 118 suites & studio rooms which means it's friendly & personal rather than anonymous. The suites have plenty of space and are ideal for longer stays. The hotel does not serve alcohol but if you need a drink there are plenty of other hotels nearby with bars and clubs.
A new boutique hotel with big rooms, bright modern interior design & furnishings, extremely well-equipped rooms. Even the corridors are wide, light and bright. Rooftop pool has great views across a traditional suburb to the ocean. A well equipped gym next to the pool. A single restaurant, Moka Cafe, but it's open 24/7 with breakfast & lunch buffets and all day a la carte menu, so there's a wide choice of excellent quality food.
