A very authentic Arabian style hotel in a good location not far from the airport, downtown, Dubai Creek and some of the souks. Very tastefully done. Good staff and service. The pool area was a bit of a disappointment. Would be a good business hotel. The small breakfast room on the 7th floor is a nice touch for executive suite guests. A hosted happy hour in the evening complete with snacks is also a nice idea. Other than that there are several Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurants as well as the Sherlock Holmes Pub in the hotel and quite a famous Mexican restaurant on the street below. This hotel was quite a bit less expensive than some of Dubai's more famous hotels, but nice none the less. Burg Al Arab Hotel is a famous landmark of Dubai. Yet the Burj Al Arab is not what I expected. I can sum it in one sentence: It is shiny and beautiful on the outside but a hallow matted disappointment on the inside. I visited the hotel's coffee house on the 1st floor to have breakfast/brunch with my girl friend. We went there for the novelty of "just to be there". In the beginning I was really excited to finally visit this world-famous hotel but unfortunately, my excitement waned off within 30 minutes of arriving at the hotel. The inside decor was colorful (shades of red, orange, yellow and blue, matte gold and white concrete) but the overall effect ended-up to be overwhelmingly gaudy. Although I find the hotel staffs to be were civil and polite but some seemed bored because they were just standing around doing little other than viewing tourists coming in/out of the hotel. I liked the way the Burj Al Arab hotel looked from afar but when viewed so near, the hotel didn't look so impressive anymore. I was glad I had the opportunity to visit the hotel but even if I could afford to stay a night, I would rather go somewhere else that exudes friendly and warm hospitality, and closer to other amenities and entertainment.
Burj Al Arab luxury hotel is in the shape of a tall sail, sitting on a man-made island. To enter the hotel, you would have to pass through a security check-point and a short causeway bridge. Entrance is not even free - you would either need a confirmed reservation to be at the hotel and one of its restaurants or facilities, or to pay US$20 (I think) for one-time entry.

Raffles Dubai is a 5-star ultra-luxury hotel. Excellent service.
Stunning pyramid structure. Absolute luxury with opulent blend of Middle-eastern and Asian decor. 10-minutes from Dubai International Airport. Located next to the Wafi ultra-exclusive lifestyle complex.

In my opinion, the Burj is a complete joke and completely not worth the ridiculous money you have to pay for everything you'd buy there. I visited the sky bar for drinks and also took a tour of the room that my crazy colleague was staying in. I found the bar and the entire hotel to be the tackiest, most gaudy and classless place I've ever seen. The money the developers spent on the hotel certainly did not go into fine decor. I thought it was completely hideous, and the money we paid for drinks at the bar was so ridiculously excessive that I just started laughing (possibly because I was not the one who had to pay the bill!!) It really is a shame, because the exterior of the hotel is really striking and lovely. That all changes once you walk in the door. The decoration runs to oversized everything, a lot of gold paint combined with red and blue and green, and more mirrors than you know what to do with. Yuck!

The room is big enough, so is the bed. Staying inside the hotel room ia refreshing since there are no dusts and dirt. The service is excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travellers. There is a big population of Pinoys in Al-Karama that's why i believe this is the place where Pinoys should stay while in Dubai. One can easily feel at home, especially, at Ratsky Bar.
The number of staff are Filipinos and they are very efficient and friendly. Even the room is clean and tidy. Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Al Karama District

Nice 3 Star Hotel right on the Jumeirah Public Beach. Big and very clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Huge breakfast buffet. Location is quite central. Some shops and restaurants are close by. It's about 500m to the Mercato Mall. Hotel has its own coffee shop and Sisha Bar. Pool area and Hairdresser. Tours can be arranged from the hotel. Taxis are normally close by as well.
The bellhop is amazingly friendly and helpful. Theme: HotelPrice: US$120-180 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Jumeirah 1 Road Street 29A, Jumeirah Public BeachPhone: 344 57 77Directions: Jumeirah Public BeachWebsite: www.ramee-goup.com Other Contact: Fax 344 59 58

I stayed there for 5 days. It is a cheap hotel with rooms rate of around 90USD per night when you booked online. There are few bars and clubs in the hotel so some rooms will tend to have some noise coming through the rooms. I stayed in the top floor. So noise problem wasnt so bad. The neighbourhood is a relatively cheap shopping area, with several indian cuisines restaurant. Have fun. by loisl The Jebel Ali is a bit outside of the city, but therefore it is calm. We liked the 3 pools and the long private beach. The hotel provides a scheduled courtesay bus to several shopping centers and to Jumeirah Beach
