Ordinary experience

Al Hamra Village does not give an impression of a hotel: long raws of villas, automobile roads between them, just like one of those city blocks.
We stayed in the room 915 located on the first floor, climbing up the high stairs several times in a day is not really pleasant.
When we checked in our bed linen was full of somebody else's black hair, the floor was unclean.
"Welcome" drink at the reception awarded us with stomach upset.
Swimming pool is a definite advantage, it is long enough.
Main restaurant and pub are located by the pool, food was good.
Don't listen to any ads promising you tennis courts and private beach: all these are located at Al Hamra Fort Hotel, which is about 15 walk from the Village.
You can take a shuttle, of course, but sometimes it takes 15-20 minutes for it to come.
I would rather stay at Al Hamra Fort Hotel.

Unique Quality: Cons
Not a tourist-friendly place, surrounded by construction sites and automobile roads.
Inconvenient access to the rooms on the first floor.
Poor hygiene standard of the rooms.
Only 1 restaurant and 1 bar.
No tennis courts and private beach as they advertise.
Unhealthy welcome drink at the reception.
Inefficient housekeeping team.

Pros
Good swimming pool
Good food
