The entrance to the hotel is like a Fortress, there re cars with heave machine guns at the entrance and well armed guards. Over all I think they could hold back an army with the security they have there so its safe. I think its needed seeing how many guns and other weapons out in the streets. But the hotel its self is very nice and meets international standards for a Sheraton. There is wifi in the lobby and internet in the rooms, the food is good and the breakfast buffet is also very good. I found the staff to be very helpful and nice. I recommend you stay here if you are planning a trip to Sanaa.
The hotel is on a hill higher than the city so you get a great view of the city from the garden in front of the lobby, you can also see some great sunsets from there.
