Royal Palms Hotel: Best of the best

by NYCTravelerGuy

The Royal Palms is an amazing boutique hotel. The staff are extremely friendly helpful and genuine people. The included self serve buffet breakfast has lots of choices and the waiter was too nice. Our room was large and included a kitchen and air conditioning. It was also very private which we really enjoyed.

Swimming pool, personalized attention from staff, close proximity to bars and restaurants. Daily happy hour with free wine.

Coco Reef Hotel: Best Deal

by AVSENT

One night in very nice hotel. Great buffet breakfast, included. Room overlooking the ocean. Nice, friendly staff. A/C worked well. Very commendable. Also, close to bus line. Drawbacks-occasional tiny ant, dead bug or two, water came out brown for first few seconds (then fine).

Hotels are expensive in Bermuda so, for the price I felt did better than average for my needs. Since, you can't rent a car, I chose the bus (2 days pass). The bus stop was just over the hill through the Bermuda college parking lot. However, you can get scooters by inquiring at the front desk (they will also, get you a taxi if you choose). The buffet breakfast really was a bargain because, I eat a big breakfast before I go to see the sites.

Rosedon Hotel: best kept secret

by cristen1019

I've been a visitor here over 30 years. It is what Bermudians call a "small Hotel".The gardens are old and established, the paths down to the pool are old limestone and the service is exceptional. There is a large varanda for swizzle parties and for 3pm high teas...and it's all a 5 min. walk from Hamilton's busy center.Old Bermuda charm is alive in this oasis.

Pompano Beach Club: Quintessential Bermuda

by Jaaldrich

Pompano Beach Club is a popular resort located on the Western part of Bermdua. It is right on it's private beach with great swimming, a golf course, a pool and multiple hot tubs on different levels climbing the building. 3 meals a day are offered plus a lunch/drink bar by the pool, with 2 dining rooms. I think you can stay in the actual building, but we stayed in one of the many surrounding buildings in condo-like accommodations. This is my first review so I don't really know what to say, except everything was classy and nice.

Two very cool hot tubs in their own little pagoda with sand all around looking over the ocean. One con, however, was that during our stay the "hot tubs" would be inexplicably cold!

Surfside Resort: A Relaxing Place to Stay

by CWinBoston

We really enjoyed our visit to this small resort. It is right on the ocean and we listened to the waves crash day and night. The people there were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good food and the bartender was great. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cliffside suite - but it was like a large condo with more than enough room for the five of us. A third bedroom was also available.

On the ocean's edge so that all rooms have views. Small enough that the staff know and remember you. Restaurant and pool are convienent.

Bay City Hotel: Probably best to avoid this hotel

by susancuozzo

We made a major effort to find reasonable hotels in Bermuda & the price at this one was right. Even so it was still close to $300/night including a light breakfast which is not a small drop in the bucket. One issue was that there was no lift or elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor. The room itself was spacious and clean but there was regular noise that we had to talk to the staff about, and it was advertised as having a jacuzzi tub which was conveniently broken at the time of our stay. The staff on-site were pleasant and tried to be helpful but the manager was not on-site and only accessible by phone which became annoying with the issues that came up. The Hamilton Princess was directly across the road and upon seeing their facilities and services we regretted that we did not pony up the $500+ per night to stay there. Needless to stay we'd like to return to Bermuda and when we do we shall stay there. Regardless of the hotel you choose definitely stay in Hamilton - it is so convenient with the ferry, excellent restaurants, shopping, etc in a short walking distance.

If you are on a budget this will work for you.

THE FAIRMONT SOUTHAMPTON: A great deal near the best beaches

by kuchunga

I found this on Expedia vacation deal. You can find a pretty good deal with this hotel combined with an air ticket. The hotel is very nice and clean on a great location. It has a private beach, nice size and very beautiful that next to Horse shore beach which probably the best beach on the island. You can enjoy both of these excellent beaches like at the private beach it would be great to relax and read books and soak some sun and at horse shore beach you can enjoy more swimming and sports. A good choice for a Bermuda trip.

Brilliance of the Seas: Balcony Oceanview Stateroom

by windoweb

Brilliance of the Seas - Ship Description
As a member of the Radiance Family of ships, the design of Brilliance of the Seas utilizes acres and acres of glass to ensure that passengers onboard are constantly surrounded by spectacular sweeping views of the sea. The ship combines a high percentage of balcony cabins with speed, added comforts, greater space, and an enhanced staff. Among the highlights are glass elevators facing the sea, six dining alternatives, and a sports court.

Dine in luxury among waterfalls in the main dining room, go the upscale Chops Grille for the perfect steak, or eat at the reservations-only Italian restaurant. For more casual fare, the Windjammer Cafe has outdoor seating. The Bombay Billiard Club, Jakarta Lounge, Singapore Slings, and the Calcutta Card Club all provide unique venues with a British-Colonial theme within the customizable Colony Club entertainment complex. At night, the stars shine down from above, the scene at the many bars heats up, excitement mounts at the casino, and the Aurora Borealis light up the Aurora Theatre, where dynamic productions embody the glitz and special effects of Broadway or Las Vegas.

Several onboard whirlpools and jacuzzis mean that relaxation is never far away--there's even a whirlpool located in the Solarium, where you can unwind in an Indian Raj-like setting. The ShipShape Fitness Center contains state-of-the-art exercise equipment, fitness classes, a massage parlor, and hair salon. Golfers will find a putting green and golf simulators, and you don't have to be an expert to enjoy the rock climbing wall. There is also a basketball court, game arcades, and three pools, including the special kid's pool area with its own waterslide. The art studio, well-stocked library, and host of shopping options provide other enjoyable outlets. At Royal Caribbean Online, you can access the Internet and send email.

Kingston House Bed & Breakfast: The best deal in Bermuda

by 850prc

We love finding a great bed and breakfast. God Bless the internet for making it so much easier to do so. We came across Harry and Marlie Powell's Kingston House via the magic of google and the Bermuda travel websites. What a great choice.

Kingston House embodies everything you'd want from a small b&b experience. Interesting and helpful hosts, a casual ambience and a great price, too. I challenge anyone to find accomodations in Bermuda for $180 per night...for THREE people...in a nice place. You'll actually have trouble finding a not-so-nice place at such a great Bermuda rate.

NOTE... FOR A FEW MORE PHOTOS OF KINGSTON HOUSE, SEE THE FOLLOWUP TIP. :)

If you choose to book and stay at Kingston House, please tell them that Pete from Tallahassee said hello.

(1) Harry and Marlie Powell, the owners. Marlie is originally from Canada, but married Harry three decades ago and settled in Bermuda. Harry's lineage goes back to the earliest Bermuda shipwrecks, he's tried and true Bermudian. Harry helped us a great deal in finding my old home from the 1950s over on Harrington Sound.

(2) The Kingston House was built by Harry's dad back in the 1920s, so it's a family property. Harry and Marlie have lovingly updated and restored the house, down to spectacular Brazilian hardwood floors and wireless internet throughout. The entire decor and feel is "home" and "comfort".

(3) We didn't use it, but they have a "continuous wave" lap pool. It's one of those things where you can set it and swim in place. Harry says it goes from gentle surf to super-rip-tide level. :)

(4) They try to tailor breakfasts to your tastes. There are no meats served...for two reasons. First, Marlie is a vegetarian. And second, serving meat means that you have to satisfy about six million additional government regulations, according to Marlie. I especially liked the raisin scones with jam.

(5) Also on the food front, Harry is serious about his coffee. They serve only fair trade coffee, and they roast and grind it ON THE PREMISES. Harry thinks coffee that's been roasted for more than a day or two is old. This is a good place for your morning cup of Joe, folks. Have a second, and a third.

(6) Great locations. Turnstile Lane turns off Pitts Bay Road. It's less than 1 km into Hamilton, but you're far enough away for it to be wonderfully peaceful at night.

(7) Free local calls, and very inexpensive long distance carrier available.

(8) We had the Palmetto Suite, which included a separate room and daybed for our daughter. Gave us all space and privacy. :)
