There is a good choice of hotels near Calgary Airport. Travelodge is about US$ 117, Country Inn and Suites about $ 135 ( 2 star ), Sandman Calgary Airport Hotel $ 138 ( 3 star ), Holiday Inn calgary Airport $ 132, Delta is about $ 168 ( 3 star ), Best Western Airport Inn ( 2 star ).
The Sheraton Cavalier at Calgary Airport is very good value, about 5 miles from the airport, shuttle to and from the airport. 4 star hotel from about $ 148

Nice view hotel
I am living there for three weeks during my business trip in Calgary.
I have a guest room that has a lot of things for long stays....fridge, micro-wave, iron, TV, alarm, desk, couch and a big bed really thick...I sleep very well :-)
The place is very quiet...but a bit far away from downtown...so you depend on taxi if you don't have a car. There is a business center (a small room with one PC and a printer), a fitness center (a running, step, pecto and bike machine) with outside view....and normally a small swimming pool and sauna but now......what a pitty..being restored....
The breakfast is not included but there is a restaurant and a nice bar. The food is good... I had the first day a mushrooms chicken and it was very good.
Apart of that, the service is good...but not perfect...so they can be better ;-)

Query on hotel
Has anyone stayed at Best Western Airport Inn? As we have a 7am flight we need to be reasonably close to airport. Are there any that are better?

Best Western seems a little more expensive than some others, it is rated I think as a 2 star, rates I saw around US$ 140. Couple of reviews not happy with the transfer shuttle.

I forget to mention that the Sheraton Cavalier provides an airport shuttle, it is quite good value and from rates I saw on Kooloola.com would only be a very little more than the best Western, and the Sheraton is excellent !

Thanks Sarah for info on hotels. Checked out Sheraton Cavalier but prices around $256. Finally found Executive Inn at $156.59 Aust. It seemed to have good reviews and they have complimentary airport shuttle. I guess experience is a good teacher!
