Pleasant enough faces at reception, quick check in but the room left a lot to be desired. Advertised fridge, none but I did have a safe should I want to secure my beer!
The wireless internet kept failing at very regular intervals and despite the attempts of the barman (who described himself as an IT dabbler!) we were left offline for a 12 hour period, not good when on business.
The air conditioning was probably designed by Sikorsky as the noise equaled a helicopter taking off. With the temp hovering (no pun intended) around 30 C it was a major decision whether to shed clothes or turn on the machine.
There was a hole in the ceiling which I assume should house a smoke detector, scary. No sprinkler system in the room but I do not know the Alberta code, perhaps they don't need them.
Unique Quality: Handy for the airport.
Within walking distance of plenty of places to eat, Humpty's, Pho 501 Vietnamese, (excellent) Pizza 73 (excellent), Tims (say no more) Dennys, A&W, etc.
Directions: McKnight/Edmonton trail junction
