Off the beaten track on the way back to Calgary
by scottishvisitor
All the way back on the lesser road you will see interesting farmland with peace & tranquility instead of the constant rush of traffic. Only 2 point of interest according to the Canadians a soldiers memorial & this quaint little church. The path to the church is really overgrown, indicating that most tourist head down highway 1, but I don't regret the detour.
The tribute to the Stoney Indians reads " They rendered to Caesar the things that were Caesar's & unto God the things that were God's"
Enjoy the dinner show Oh Canada, Eh?

"Enjoy a dinner and show for an evening excursion"
We did not have reservations for the show we attended but it was no problem to purchase tickets when we went in to see if they had availability for the evening.
The meal is served family style with two or three other families or groups at the table.
We enjoyed meeting people from other places and chatting through the dinner and parts of the show. Serving starts at 6:15 and dinner and the show starts at 6:30 PM. The entertainers are also the servers for the meal.
The cost was $62 CAD per person at the Senior rate. The cost was about $6 less per person after the currency conversion.
I would recommend this for an evening excursion.
"Comedy and spoof on Canadian life"
The entertainers present different historical stories about Canada through comedy, song and spoof.
"Meet a Canadian Mountie"
We heard a lot of familiar songs and tunes that were either written or made famous by Candians.
