The hotel gave us rooms overlooking the mountains that lie to the west of Town and visible were the 3 Sisters, Ha Ling Peak and the mass of Mount Rundle that stretches from Canmore to Banff some 8 kms away.
In mid May 2008, winter lingered for too long and as many of my photos show, there was plenty of snow above the 2500 m level.
The hotel on the eastern approach to Canmore, was not too busy, the service was good, there is a small restaurant located in the hotel for meals from breakfast to lunch and dinner. We did not try Joey's Only, but are familiar with the chain in Calgary, they are known for some excellent Fish and chips.
We chose to dine out on 3 occasions in Canmore or Banff and have some meals using the fully equipped kitchen in the suite.
The View, very definitely the View. No matter if it was cloudy or sunny, the view towards the mountains did draw us to keep checking, in case there was a mirage that disappeared at a certain time of day.
Of course my camera was very busy also.
