Edmonton Tip

Fighting my way across the High Level Bridge. This bridge is the most direct route from downtown to Strathcona (i.e. Whyte Ave) and Calgary Trail. It's lanes are rather narrow and it has all sorts of interesting (and confusing) curves. Great view (just don't take your eyes off the road). NOTE: the bridge is one-way (southbound). To go northbound you have to find your way into the valley and take the 'Low Level' bridge.
Packing List

Just your typical style luggage is recommended if your not planning on doing a lot of shopping there. Winter Apparel (Winter Coats, Sweaters, etc.) is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Winter Travel.
For Spring/Fall Travel, check ahead for latest whether conditions. Sometimes its quite cold in the spring and fall and you may even need your winter jacket!
For Summer, pack a light coat, the nights can get quite chilly. MONEY! $$$. You'll need lots of it if you plan to go shopping. Edmonton is a mall-lovers dream.

I call it the "goth" store. HAHAHHA. It's a trip to see what they have in that place. For those who are curious, feel free to pop on it. Great for those "everyday Halloween" type occasions. HEHEHEHE Anything from skull candles, leather accessories, sculptures, anything black or for the "darker" crowd.

Wildwest Saloon
As some regulars will tell you, things can get crazy inside the Wildwest Saloon and for good reason. You get the straight goods here when it comes to country music and all-round western-style hospitality. Twang bands, onstage for five nights of the week, deliver everything from tear-in-your-beer classics to the latest from Garth, Shania, Clint, Reba and Vince (and if you have to ask their last names, bone up on your country music trivial quickly!).
