We will be flying into Calgary but staying in Edmonton. I understand that there is no rail link between the 2 cities so how can we get there?
Thanks in advance for your help.
If you don't mind the bus system, there is a Greyhound bus (www.greyhound.ca) that links the two cities on a regular basis (it's also about a 3 hour drive if you want to rent a car). Or, you can try the shuttle bus which is called Red Arrow. website is: www.redarrow.ca
I 2nd Red Arrow. depending on how many 'WE' is or sre, a car rental may also be in the cards.
Most people I know take the Red Arrow.
Or you could take a commuter flight to Edmonton from Calgary. There are several that leave every day. From Edmonton Airport (Nisku), you can take Sky Shuttle (http://www.edmontonskyshuttle.com/), taxi ($40+) or rent a car.
Public bus service between airport and Nisku, with continuing service to Edmonton downtown is in the works but has not been started just yet.
Thank you all for your replies.
We have solved the problem by deciding to fly direct to Edmonton via Gatwick. It will mean a bit of extra travelling in the UK but after a 9 hour flight the last thing i want to do is get on a coach for 2-3 hours then try and find our hotel (Days Inn Edmonton South)
