Taylor University College and Seminary operates under a charter of the province of Alberta. Taylor's three-year Bachelor of Arts degree and four-year Bachelor of Arts degrees are accredited by recommendation of the Private Colleges Accreditation Board (now replaced by the Campus Alberta Quality Council (CAQC) ) to the Minister of Alberta Learning. The University College is authorized by the government of Alberta to offer these BA degrees by Orders in Council signed by the Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alberta on the recommendation of the Minister of Alberta Learning, under the Post-secondary Learning Act.
Taylor University College is an affiliate member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). The CCCU is a professional association of academic institutions that focuses on helping Christian colleges and universities to "Advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education; and effectively integrate biblical faith, scholarship and service.
Transferability
Taylor University College has transfer agreements for the majority of our courses. As such, these course are accepted by the University of Alberta, and other Alberta post-secondary institutions, for transfer credit. Such courses are also transferable to many other Canadian and American universities and colleges. All transferable courses are so indicated in the annual editions of the Alberta Transfer Guide.
