Fantasy Suites

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 23, 2013

Fantasyland hotel is located in the West Edmonton mall It has 235 regular rooms and 120 themed rooms. The themed rooms are from different eras or a specific place.

I stayed in the Roman era room. It has a round king size bed. It also has a jacuzzi where the water is poured by a Roman Venus statue.

There are many themed rooms -
Roman
Igloo
Truck
Sports
African
Polynesian
Hollywood
Arabian
Western and
Canadian Rail.

Unique Quality: The theme rooms are amazing! They are expensive to stay in, but the hotel always has a package that you can reserve with the room.

Fantasyland Hotel, which is located in West Edmonton Mall, is a great place to stay, as you can shop all day and drop dead at your room afterwards!! Then you can go out for supper, or to a movie and never have to leave..I love staying there...We usually stay for our anniversary every year in one of the theme rooms..

Unique Quality: The theme rooms are really neat...Check out their website listed below for more information..

Sleeping in the mall

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on July 3, 2004

Forget their theme rooms - they're really tacky. Otherwise, their rooms and overall apperance of the hotel is actually surprisingly classy. I've found the service to be very good as well.

Unique Quality: The only hotel in the world's largest mall.. so you could literally spend days without stepping foot outside. Definitely no shortage of shops, restaurants, or activities!

Directions: It's on the southwest corner of the mall - 178 St and 87 Ave.

Polynisia!

by written on December 7, 2002

I stayed at the Fantasy Land Hotel and it was in the Polynisian Room. It was certainly a novelty but be prepared to pay over $200 CDN for the experience, not sure if I would do it again!

It is convenient if you are going to be at the mall a lot and a great jacuzzi! If you havn't been it's worth the visit.

There are some nearby hotels that will save you some money. The Mayfeild Inn and Suites is a good option.

Unique Quality: Located right in the West Edmonton Mall and very convenient that way!

Directions: West Edmonton Mall

Well, it all depends on which part of the city you would like to stay. Costs for a hotel room are pretty reasonable in Edmonton. Most venture to stay at the Fantasyland Hotel at WEM cause it's close to the mall. They also have unique theme rooms (I kinda think it's a bit cheesy but hey) that you can choose from, but they can get pricey.
From $99 (if you encounter specials) to $200. You can check out their website for more information (http://www.fantasylandhotel.com).

Fantasyland Hotel

Unique Quality: One of the most unique hotels in the world, with 355 guest rooms featuring 118 theme rooms. I stayed in the truck room (the only one available when we arrived). We slept in the back of a pick-up truck. A queen-size bed was 'parked' in the back of an actual half-ton truck! The room was decorated with an antique gas pump and traffic lights. There was also a Jacuzzi to relax in. What a night...
