Elk Island National Park by Tolik
Visit Elk Island National Park, an unspoiled wilderness of forests and likes which is a wildlife reserve. It is about an hour drive east of Edmonton on Route 16 (the Yellowhead Highway). Elk, wood bison, moose, and deer roam here, and hundreds of species of birds can seen. The park has hiking trails (from 2.5 to 18 km ? 1.5 ti 11 miles), cross country skiing trails over rolling terrain, and a few lakes.
