The Met is a lovely boutique hotel located on Whyte Avenue. It is in a excellent location. There is shopping, restaurants, nightlufe and entertainment all around. Edmonton and Whyte Avenue have many festivals during the summer. It is very close to major transit, and downtown is only a few minutes away. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. They have valet parking, free breakfast, wine and cheese tastings on weekend evenings, free internet, fitness centre, and more. The decor is very nice and the beds are huge and extremely comfortable. The only downside is that it is located right on Whyte Avenue, which is very popular, so you can hear the noise from the street up in your room on the weekend. I have stayed at the Met for about 2 months total over the past several years and for good reason (along with about 2-300 hotel/nights for fellow business associates):
Superior Service
Incredible Comfort
Excellent Value
The rooms are spacious, modern, with free wireless, large desk, TV, fridge and microwave in some rooms. Bathrooms are all different but spacious, modern as well and with excellent amenities. The beds are luxurious with massive down comforters.
The service is attentive, friendly and down to earth, with free valet parking. They will always go the extra mile to help where needed.
The location can't be beat with about 15-20 restaurants, bars, nightclubs, live music and shopping nearby.
