When you are entering Fort McMurray on highway 63 north on your right hand side you will see the following building with visitor information.
I got a town map and guide from here. Here are some other web sites you might find good information from on Fort McMurray.

Days in Ft. Mac.
by Ryona
"Welcome to Fort McMurray!"
This is a city full of a variety of things to do and see. From the many hills to downtown, to McDonald Island, a person can keep busy for quite a while.
In this city, you can see wildlife such as foxes, visit parks, hang out at the river, travel up to the oilsands and more.
In winter, on cold nights (most nights are cold!), the aurora borealis can be seen, on summer days you can spend the day fishing at the Snye, or pay a visit to Borealis Park (the outdoor splash park).
There's certainly a lot to do, and you shouldn't stop at just one thing!
