My husband is going there in Nov of this year. He will be staying in a work camp, could we get some information on those camps. Please and Thankyou.
I'm sure his employer has that info. There are probably MANY different types of camps.
If his company uses a relocation company, you could probably contact them for some information. Fort McMurray seems to have some reasonably-priced food at some of the company cafeterias up there, beyond the chain restaurants. I've gathered this from seeing expense statements for people moving up there over the years working at different jobs.
What specific info are you looking for? I have a friend who works in HR for Suncor, and I'm sure I can find the answers you seek, but only if I know the questions!

This is a city full of a variety of things to do and see. From the many hills to downtown, to McDonald Island, a person can keep busy for quite a while.
In this city, you can see wildlife such as foxes, visit parks, hang out at the river, travel up to the oilsands and more.
In winter, on cold nights (most nights are cold!), the aurora borealis can be seen, on summer days you can spend the day fishing at the Snye, or pay a visit to Borealis Park (the outdoor splash park).
There's certainly a lot to do, and you shouldn't stop at just one thing!
