What do you want to learn today?
The Grande Prairie College, apart from being the post secondary school in town, is renowned for its architecture. It has no square corners, inside or out! Its crazy to walk inside, down long hallways you feel disorientated almost curving around. I remember in grade 6 opening my social textbook, written in the states, and seeing a picture of the college in it!
The college also has a walk-in clinic in it, if you have an emergency, and a theatre, if you want to catch a play.
"The landmark Grande Prairie Regional College building was designed in 1969 by renowned architect Douglas Cardinal, and is recognized worldwide as both a work of art and an architectural marvel. It was built in the early 1970s. A complementary expansion, which effectively doubled the original building, was designed by local architects Field, Field and Field, and completed in 1991." - taken from the college website
