B&B in Jasper

by PennyWrach

I wonder if anyone could recommend a B&B for one night in Jasper, near the bus terminus, for early june 2009?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello Frank, I have never been to Canada before so it is all new to me. I will be travelling with a friend on "The Canadian" to Jasper and plan to take the tour bus to Banff the next day. Most of the places we have been in contact with do not take booking for a single night :(
Also as we will not have transport in Jasper we are hoping to find somewhere within walking distance of the train and bus.

Thanks for your input,
Penny

Jasper has a lot of private home accomodations. Not all of them provide breakfast but most do come with a kitchen. Here is a link to the home accomodation web page:

A lot of these places will take a 1 night rental, especially in the shoulder season and many offer last minute reservations. There is a phone at the Jasper Information Centre, where you can call around (I recommend early in the day) to find a rental for that night. Early June will not be as busy as July and August are, but if it's at all possible, I would try to line up one your accomodations in advance. I only mentioned the free phone service so that, in the event that you haven't found anything before you leave, you know it's a possibility.

Note, that all members of the PHA association in Jasper are licenced and inspected.

I hope that helps!

A lot of people take the Jasper Tramway up to the top of Whistlers Mountain, but as it wasn't working when we got there, we decided to walk... 4 hours later we arrived at the top. This view was taken about half-way up.

Lovely, quiet, picturesque town.

"Jasper"

Jasper is a very pretty, quiet, and friendly town. It is a tourist destination, therefore prices area little higher, but it is so beautiful. The people are the nicest. All Albertans we found to be very nice.

"Another Jasper shot"

This is an old steam locomotive I believe, that is no longer in service.

"Athabasca Falls"

Just south of Jasper is Athabasca Falls, If you drive from Jasper to Banff, you must stop to see this.

Na obrazku je vstup do narodneho parku Jasper, v ktorom sa nachadza mestecko s rovnakym nazvom. Parkom sme prechadzali 29. januara 2002, prenocovali sme v meste Jasper v hoteli Marmot a rano sme pokracovali v ceste smerom do Vancouveru.

Havkac cakal na vlecke maleho nakladaku na svoju kamosku, ktora mu nakupovala prave dobroty v jednom z mala obchodov otvorenych vo vecernych hodinach v horskom turistickom centre Jasper.

tak s tymto macikom grizliovskeho povodu sa mozete stretnut na ulici prechadzajucej mestom Jasper v centre narodneho parku rovnakeho mena.
