Nakoda Lodge: Beautiful Lodge
A very quiet and peaceful stay in the middle of the mountains on the Stoney Reserve. The Lodge was built at the edge of a lake, Chief Hector Lake. At the time we were staying there the hotel rooms had no TV but internet access was available in a special room. I didn't miss TV at all as there are many other things to do. One can rent canoes and boats to go on the lake and there are plenty of walking trails too.. The restaurant is very famous in the Greater Calgary area for its delicious Sunday brunch.. it' s a must to take in.. I have only done so once but oh, was it ever good !! :)
Btw Nakoda is the Stoney word for "The People".
The lodge has a nice sundeck, pool and also a hot tub..we got to enjoy the latter one when we tipped our boat on the lake.. But- that's a different story..hehe..
