"BEWARE"

Beware of this hotel. Cleaning staff will "clean-up your room" and you will find things missing. Management will use rules to increase your bill. They may try to charge you for a noise complaint. If you are not a visible minority, be careful, as your need to be tolerant WILL be taken advantage of. When booking, AAA or CAA is advertised but not honoured in the peak season, although this is not stated in any information I could find. They didn't care. Stay at Waterton Park Lodge. Do not stay at the Bayshore either. Filthy.

Unique Quality: Located in a beautiful area.

Year Round Facility

I stayed at this hotel for the first time March 2007. We rented one of the deluxe suites (#102). Since we were here in the off-season, the room was only $99 per night. (Summer rate for the same room is $174.) We were also offered the loft suite, for $179 but we declined since we were here on business and would not be spending much time in the room.

I was very pleased with our room. The suite had a fireplace in the living room and bedroom, a queen sized bed that was so comfortable it was just heavenly, a single jetted tub, an enormous bathroom with a vanity seat, a separate living room with couch, tables, tv and a chair, and patio doors off the bedroom to a private patio complete with 4 patio chairs. There is also an private outdoor courtyard which looked like it would be lovely in the summer.

The bedroom consisted of a queen bed, 2 bedside tables, patio doors to patio, a fireplace and air conditioner and a desk.

The room was spotlessly clean and the furniture was all very new and comfortable. My only complaint (and it is a really minor one!) is that there was no coffee maker in the room.

Since restaurant choices are very limited in Waterton in the winter, the hotel also serves breakfast for guests during the winter months. The menu, though limited, was adequate and the food was well-prepared. They have 5 small tables for breakfast in the hotel lobby.

I will definitely stay here again. They also have some golf package deals that are offered in spring and fall. Check out the "specials" page on their website for more info.

Unique Quality: The room was extremely comfortable and I thought it was also fairly luxurious.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I really appreciate this, especially when checking in at 10:30 pm after a full day of logging in the bush! Thanks so much, Lisa, for your helpful and cheerful attitude!

There is a small gift shop in the lobby where you can pick up a souvenir or any toiletries which you may have forgotten.

The hotel is very near the downtown core and is situated with remarkable views of the surrounding mountains.
