Yarrow is a small farming community just east of Abbotsford. From the highway (1) you'd never guess that a village exists south east of Sumas. Yarrow was settled by Mennonites who came from Russia to the prairies, to Agassiz then Yarrow in the early 1930's. The plaque in Yarrow says it was established in 1928. As you drive through you could easily be forgiven for thinking you have travelled back to the 50's. You will find there a few farmer's and vegetable markets.
To get there take exit 95 from Highway 1, turn left onto South Parallel, right on Atkinson Road, right on McDermott and keep driving south until you come to Yarrow Centre Rd - drive east on there and you will soon drive through the village.
