The Vineyard B&B: No longer around, but a memorable experience
The Vineyard is no longer in business, which is too bad. As far as I remember, it was the only winery on the island, and a winery that you could stay in at that! It's too bad I was barely 20 years old when I stayed. While 19 is the legal drinking age in BC, I wasn't drinking wine at that age and while I felt really spoiled staying in a B&B like that, it kind of felt like I was playing "grown-up". This tends to happen when you stay at B&B's at a young age: the clientele tend to be older, and when you're 20 years old, it's easily to feel out of your element.
However, the room was spatious and there were free wine-tastings for the guests (which I didn't partake in because I had a wedding to attend). Usually you eat a breakfast in a common room when you stay at B&B's, but I don't remember doing this here. I think we might have had breakfast delivered to the room, but even that, my memory is fuzzy.
