mode of dressing in fort st john?
hi hi,
i am flying in to Fort st john in early sept....what kind of basic clothing should i be equipped with from sept till nov?? what is the weather like?
also, i am planning to go for job interviews for office job positions in fort st john.....what kind of dressing is required?? do i need to wear a formal suit for the job interview? can i wear jeans with a smart jacket?

I don't recommend jeans for the interview. A formal suit, even if out of place, would be seen as respect to the office. I think the bigger problem will be getting a job for 3 months only.
The weather will get quite cool into November.

no, i am staying there for at least the next 1-2 years....my hubby is there working and i am flying in from singapore...i asked from sept till nov cos i am shipping most of my clothing there and it will take abt 2 months to arrive so i am just wondering what kind of basic clothing i need to bring along with me when i fly...

FSJ is a pretty casual town. There are opportunities to dress up but not a great amount. It still has a rural feel to alot of daily life but, there is still big city stuff to do and clothes to match.

It would be hard to find a place in North America that hasn't been influenced by media and hype to dress to impress.

Jeans will be a requirement. For work, you may need a suit but, I don't think it will be required clothing always. It just depends on the buisness you would work for.
A Law Firm may be very different from an Agricultural Supply Company, and may not.
It is a pretty relaxed comunity towards that.
