Mary's Motel: Comfortable and economic
Mary's Motel is nothing special, but it is comfortable enough. The rooms are clean but rather basic. The walls are thick so the rooms stay both warm and quiet at night.
The office closes a little early (~9pm) for a motel. If you will arrive after this time, call ahead and the office staff will leave your key in the mail drop box. If you don't arrange this, there is a doorbell to the owner's residence. They will assist you, but may not be in the most cordial of moods.
The rooms are basic. There is a small TV and free WiFi. They provide towels and basic soap, but no other toiletries. The beds are comfortable, but a little bouncy. (A room for four was $100)
There is a small indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a spa. Some rooms have kitchens.

Pine Cones B & B: Perfect option for famillies.
Pine Cones B & B is actually a self contained 2 bedroom suite which suited us fine as we were travelling as 2 couples. We stayed one night as a stopover on our trip from Banff to Vancouver. The rooms were fairly compact but were clean and equipped with all that we needed. There are 2 separate bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge and a dining area. It was a just few minutes walk to the local bars and restaurants.
A continental style breakfast was brought in to us to eat in the suite and was very tasty and went down well following our early morning walk down by the river. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.
We enjoyed our time there and would stay again if we ever pass that way again.

Alpenrose Cabins & Lodge: Alpenrose, a big surprise
Me and my husband stayed at Alpenrose lodge last august for 2 nights, in a romantic and big room with private bath and wireless Internet access. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly.
The breakfast was super and different every day: the owner is a chef and a member of the "Chaine des Rotisseurs" confriérie of gourmands.
Alpenrose is located on the Trans-Canada Highway, nevertheless there is no noise and the place is very quite.
Great views of the mountains from the living room. Only minutes from the Kicking Horse Resort ski area and whitewater rafting.

Sportsman Lodge: Great comfortable and affordable hotel
I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and affordability of this hotel room. Decent sized bathroom with fresh towels. $120 per night.
The pool is small, but the waterslide is fun. The only drawback was the hot tub had this weird foam on it that made our swimming suits smell like wet dog.
