Back in BCagain
I hate when my humans put my head in these cutout things...but it is great to be back in BC again...back in Canada again...and heading back to Alaska again!! Had to stop in Hope to rearrange the RV and get some Canadian cash and I had to pee.
"The stage was set..."
....and the survivors were ready. Who would be the next "Iron Survivor."
These were tasks set upon the survivors who were fit, mentally and physically. I, of course, did not participate...why subject myself to craziness when I can capture the madness in a photo.
The first task was to sit up straight and hold your legs straight out in the air. As time progressed, weights were added to increase the difficulty. The winner of the girls section, Meena, lasted 53 minutes with 5 litres of water on her legs...and she could've gone longer.
The men had a similar task, although their weight was much heavier...20 litres.
Needless to say they didn't last very long.
The winner, Brian, held out for an amazing 13 minutes. I guess it pays to go to the gym. I wouldn't have lasted 13 seconds!
"The table top."
Everyone knows the table top....the core strengthening, arm hurting, ab shaking exercise.
Well the winners, Meena and Art, lasted more time than I could have imagined. Abs of steel.
Ahhh, I love being a spectator sometimes.
The next competition was to eat 6 saltine crackers in a row and then whistle a tune. Have you ever tried it? It's harder than you think. The crackers absorb all of your saliva and it's hard to swallow, let alone whistle.
The crackers bit flew everywhere as people tried to whistle. It was disgusting, but oh so hilarious!
"The final round..."
The final iron man saw pennies being dropped from legs into bottle openings.
Reminisence of Thailand???
The girls kicked butt at this competition, and it was so funny to watch the men.
"The men had more trouble with this game..."
Apparently, men aren't used to walking this way.
It was more difficult for them. What can I say, girls rule!
"The Sole Survivor"
Winner of the 2006 Ross Lake Survivor was.....
drum roll please....
