This is about ROSS LAKE - It's near Hope
"A Canada Day Long Weekend"
Every year, Canadians all around the country take pride in celebrating our national day. Dressed in festive red and white, we proudly sing songs and enjoy the best of what our country has to offer.
For me, this weekend was perfect. I celebrated Canada Day in some of the best scenery on earth with some of the nicest people on earth.
"On to Ross Lake"
A group of about 50 people made their way to Ross Lake, a beautiful lake near Hope, B.C. that spans the Canada and US border.
It's a 3 hour drive up, part of which is on a dusty, dirty, gravel road. In 30 degree weather, it's not always the nicest of drives....but it is certainly worth it!
Where I spent my weekend...priceless.
"How every long weekend should be!"
In Canada, we love the outdoors! Nothing suits us better than to go camping on a weekend...especially a long weekend.
And no other drink is preferred (well, by most) for a hot afternoon than a nice, cold, beer. While there a heaps of varieties to choose from, on Canada Day, it's only fitting to crack open a cold Canadian.
Wow, this picture should be an advertisement...any takers???
