Everywhere...............: British Columbia

by balhannah

When we were looking for accommodation, I found the Bed & Breakfast site for Canada.

This is an excellent site that covers the whole of Canada.
All the listing's have been checked and approved.

On our road trip around British Columbia and Alberta, we stayed at B&B's booked through this site for the whole journey, and we never struck a bad one.
They were cheaper than other accommodation, we stayed in some of the most beautiful home's with fantastic view's, and best of all, we met some really lovely owner's who were as interested in us and where we came from, as we were of them.

It was our first time of B&Bing, and definately not our last after the wonderful time we had!

BC Provincial Park Campgrounds: Provincial owned campgrounds

by Twan

Camping is one of the most popular recreational activities in British Columbia, with campsites available in certain provincial parks, in BC Recreation Campsites located on Crown land outside of parks, as well as in private campground facilities.

Eagleridge B&B: On VANCOUVER ISLAND

by balhannah

This b&b is situated in a newer area of Nanaimo. We had a lovely downstairs room with our own bathroom. Breakfast is taken upstairs where there is a balcony to enjoy the lovely ocean views. Hosts were nice.
Breakfast was juice, fruit, bacon, scrambled egg, croissant and coffee or tea. Very nice.

Clearwater Natural Resort: Close to WELL'S GRAY PROVINCIAL PARK

by balhannah

Located at CLEARWATER, near WELL'S GRAY P/PARK, is a Campground which has bungalow (which we stayed in)a Motel and a Campground.
The Bungalows were basic, but had everything that you needed, including your own shower and toilet. They were situated facing a lake, a really nice spot. Rooms were clean. A restaurant is onsite for meal. Plenty of room for a stroll.

Its located 35ks from Well's Gray park, on the road that leads to it. It was very reasonably priced.
We were happy with the accommodation.

HITCHING POST MOTEL: At Pemberton

by balhannah

The Motel is actually situated at Mt. Currie which is only 5mins to Pemberton. It is a double story 10 room motel situated in a quiet area.

IT was reasonably priced, and had colour TV and air conditioning.
There was a Laundromat on-site open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily

The Accommodation was good and the owner was helpful. She put us onto a good Restaurant for our Dinner, it was excellent!

7 ACRE'S B&B: Showcase home, Beautiful Breakfast!

by balhannah

Another B&B, and another good one!

7 Acres is named such, as it is located on 7 acres of land. Guests are welcome to wander around the garden. Our hosts, Husband & wife David & Martha, showed us photo's of how their home & garden looked in Winter under a Mountain of snow, no thanks! Will give Winter living here a miss!

There were different rooms to choose from, so we chose the Summer room, this was made for couples. A lovely room, complete with antique furniture and own bathroom.
Breakfast was included in the price, and was very nice, I, especially enjoying the Home-made jams made by Martha, I can tell you, she was a wonderful cook, perhaps this was because she was of German heritage!

The house itself was furnished beautifully, and they had plenty of travel books that we enjoyed browsing through. We really enjoyed our late night chat with them too!

It is easy to find, and all the information is on the website. I would have no hesitation in returning here!

RATE IN 2010 IS $100 to $110 per unit per night.

LOVE'S BED & BREAKFAST: Excellent Bed & Breakfast

by balhannah

This B&B AT KELOWNA, is a large home with an expansive views of Okanagan lake and the city, beaut views day and night!

Our bedroom was located at the back of the house, overlooking the backyard and the swimming pool. We had our own private Bathroom, Television, Fridge, Air conditioning and a clock radio. Bathrobes were supplied.
The Pool area has an outside shower & change rooms.

Breakfast was wonderful, too much for us!
Choices were, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, pancakes, stratas, quiche & omelette, homemade jams & fresh fruits.
Ed cooked all the breakfasts, and what a good cook he was!

Check in time - 3pm. Check out time - 11am
Cancellation : Loss of deposit if room cannot be filled.
Seasonal Information : Re-opens mid-June, 2010. Two (2) night stay minimum

The owners are a lovely couple, and nothing was too much trouble. !

We really loved our time here, we got on so well with the owners. They were very helpful in telling what to see and do in this area.

2010 Prices.............
$95/night double occupancy for Deck/View bdrm. & Master Ensuite
$75/single occupancy in Red Curtain Bedroom (single )

WE WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS B&B

Pool, great views, great breakfast, nice room and bathroom

GLACIER VIEW BED & BREAKFAST: Nice Bed & Breakfast

by balhannah

This B&B is located at Squamish.

We especially chose this one, as the prices for a B&B or any form of accommodation in nearby Whistler was a LOT MORE EXPENSIVE!

Only a short drive from Whistler, the B&B was located quite high on a hill where we overlooked snow-capped Mountains.
The Double storied home had the B&B rooms located downstairs. Our room was nice and comfortable. There were 2 rooms, and the guests from each room had to share the bathroom, we did not find this an inconvenience. The was a lounge area with Television and books.

In the morning, we went upstairs for the included breakfast.
Breakfast was fruit salad, coffee or tea, juice, scones and a choice of a Menu.

Owner's, Mike & Beryl were very nice and helpful, they actually joined us for Breakfast. We enjoyed talking to them, and the views from the large window's in the Breakfast room.

Would return!~

They are members of B&B Canada.

Prices in 2010....$90 single $110 Double

BAVARIAN ORCHARD MOTEL: Good Motel at CRESTON

by balhannah

This well kept Motel is on the outskirts of Creston on the quiet main road into town.

It was a nice peaceful Motel with helpful pleasant owners.
Very clean rooms, with air - conditioning, full baths and a shower, Cable TV, Direct dial phone and FREE LOCAL CALLS, Coffee maker, Fridge and Microwave.
Two and one Bedroom units are available.

A Complimentary CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST was included in the reasonable price. This was available in the end room, guest's just go in and help thereselves, we thought a really good idea. The Owner had left freshly baked hot Muffin's for us, and they were nice!

The gardens, the Orchard, fantastic Mountain views made this a very pleasant stay for us, and we would definately return at another time.

Priced from $65 - $105 night in 2010

BLUFF MOTEL: By GALLAGHER LAKE

by balhannah

This was a family run Motel located in a nice, quiet position.

We booked the Standard Sleeping Room. This had a queen bed, bar fridge, table for 2, full bathroom, Cable TV, and complimentary tea/coffee.
I needed to do laundry, and this was very handy, as I just had to walk across the road to the Laundromat. {ask at reception about this}

The setting it was in was very nice, with our room having a view of the giant McIntyre Bluff.
There are quite a few different types of rooms that you can book.
We were happy with ours, it was a good price, clean, and good for an overnight stay.
Just don't expect anything fancy or upmarket!

The Website has prices listed for the different types of rooms, and for the Summer & Winter seasons.
