This tip is in response to another general tip where a visitor stayed at the hostela dn was disturbed about being advised to boil the water. In the past every spring Kamloops had a water turbidity problem-arising from sediment overflowing into the drinking water-thus boiling your water. Kamloops has since built a state of the art water infiltration plant, one of a kind the north america and thus turbidity is no loinger a problem.If you want to tour the facility, interesting it is, call the city to see if you can arrange a tour group or tag along with one. Another side note, the hostel, inthe past located in the oldcourthouse, has closed. There is presently no hostelin town for travellers. There is a mens Christian hostel but it is for street people needing a place to stay.
