When I travelled West Canada I used the Moose network travel bus. Its a hop off and hop on bus designed for young backpackers. Although I don't usually recommend this type of travel it was great fun. If you are travelling alone like I was it is a great way to meet people. From Whistler to Kamloops the journey was pretty long but had lovely views of mountains along the way. To be honest I didn't get to see much of Kamloops. I arrived here at about 19:00, the hostel itself is pretty nice and very large. Got some drinks in and went out on the town. The hostel rooms seemed to be pretty packed but I'm sure its possible to get rooms with less people in them. The town had some nice pubs. Sorry no pics!!
