Kamloops is a pretty neat town. It's more or less in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by barren, grassy hills in livestock grazing country, and it is very hot in the summer. However, the town is quite pleasant, with some attractive buildings, a leafy downtown, and some fairly chic places. At least, that's what it was like when we were there in 1996.
