Guisachan Gardens.
The garden at Guisachan is small but contains an array of varied plants growing in the valley of the Okanagan.
The gardens are well tended and there is a small paved parking area. It is close to the main area of Kelowna.

Hey Hey!! My friends and I are coming from OZ to work at Big White this season and are wanting to know what is the best and CHEAPEST way to get from Vancouver to Kelowna??
I don't have a specific answer though it would probably (cheapest) be bus. It is about a 4 hour straight drive from Vancouver (to Kelowna + .45min. to Big White) by car. With stops along the way you might have to add an hour or so. Greyhound Vancouver does have a web page. You might try as well some of the B.C.-Alberta tour companies as Kelowna is a very popular stop along the way. Big White is nice, the family will be there in MArch. Have fun its a great hill, owned by one of your fellow countrymen (I think)
greyhound bus line
The bus is the cheapest if its just one person but if there are a few of you it is probably cheaper to rent a car for a day or so.
You could probably catch a cheap flight on WestJet if you book ahead & then grab the Big White Shuttle from the airport.

Our B&B hosts told us to stop at the lookout, and check out the colour of Kalamalka Lake. Well, sure enough, it was a pretty green colour on the edges, just like they said.
I learnt that, Kalamalka Lake [known as lake of 1000 colours], is known as a "marl lake." When the lake water warms in summer, calcium carbonate, or limestone, forms crystals that reflect sunlight and create its distinctive blue and green colours.
The small town of Oyama [means watersport], is the place to hire everything to do with having fun on the water........ jet skis, cruise boats, houseboats, fishing boats, windsurfers, pedal boats, canoes, tubes, knee boards, wake boards, waterskis ... and more.
We stopped at the Kalamalka Lake Viewpoint, 8 km north of Oyama, lovely views of the Lake and the Coldstream Valley.

Q: Are there any campsites in or around Kelowna that...? "I'm looking for a campsite area that does not care about loud music and drinking late at night for May long. Showers are not..."
A: "Those don't exist anymore, too many families camping"
