Bev & Sandy's place B&B: Cozy place near BC Ferry Terminal
This B&B is out of town and you need a GPS to reach the place because it's hard to find without navigation, the B&B is in residential district area
A cozy place with only two rooms available the owner lives in the same house the guesthouse is at the back with porch and a nice little garden for the guest
The standard double room have a cable TV and a free WIFI, a skylight offers plenty of daylight in the room antique stained glass windows are featured and ensuite bathroom, is not really spacious room but enough space for our stuff the bathroom is neat and clean with bathtub and shower
The owners Bev and Sandy were very welcoming and helpful they were not home when we arrive but they left a note infront of the door of what we have to do so we can enter to our room the place is a very short drive to the center
We stay for a night here, it is for us convenient to the BC ferry in Nanaimo which is 15 minute drive breakfast is included in the room price which is already pack and prepared in the refrigerator we have a coffee maker in our room, in the communal kitchen for the guest are feature with kitchen utensils, microwave and a refrigerator, with saloon area
Worth for the price!
The owners were very friendly and welcoming they were so helpful, given us advise of what to do and see around the city

Long Lake B&B: Hidden Treasure
Only one night, but the hosts were very accomodating, and breakfast was great. Very comfortable, reasonably priced, perfect location. Would LOVE to go back!
Hot tub right on the edge of the lake, beautiful landscaping, awesome views of the lake, especially at night.

Castaway Motel: Cheap and Cheerful
Another motel close to town on the busy Terminal Avenue. This was the first place we ever stayed in Nanaimo and the traffic from the road kept us up all night. The prices are keen at $59 per night and rooms have a/c and a kitchenette. This isn't my favourite place but then if you are here just to sleep then you are fine but you might not sleep much with the trafic noise. Lots of places to eat are close by like KFC, White spot etc and there is a liquor store and 7/11 close by too.

Tourist Inn: Fine for the night
Not the prettiest place in town but its cheap and well located. It has the bonus of a pool and a hot tub but I'm not sure the hot tub works. Staff can be a bit unfreindly here but then if you just want somewhere to sleep then its fine. I stayed here a week as they have some rooms with a kitchenette for $300 a week which is pretty good value. If want a more then there are plenty of other places to try. Lots of eating places are close by including KFC, Whtie Spot, Cottage Fish & Chips and Rosettas.
