Long Lake B&B: Hidden Treasure

Only one night, but the hosts were very accomodating, and breakfast was great. Very comfortable, reasonably priced, perfect location. Would LOVE to go back!

Unique Quality: Hot tub right on the edge of the lake, beautiful landscaping, awesome views of the lake, especially at night.

Castaway Motel: Cheap and Cheerful

Another motel close to town on the busy Terminal Avenue. This was the first place we ever stayed in Nanaimo and the traffic from the road kept us up all night. The prices are keen at $59 per night and rooms have a/c and a kitchenette. This isn't my favourite place but then if you are here just to sleep then you are fine but you might not sleep much with the trafic noise. Lots of places to eat are close by like KFC, White spot etc and there is a liquor store and 7/11 close by too.

Tourist Inn: Fine for the night

Not the prettiest place in town but its cheap and well located. It has the bonus of a pool and a hot tub but I'm not sure the hot tub works. Staff can be a bit unfreindly here but then if you just want somewhere to sleep then its fine. I stayed here a week as they have some rooms with a kitchenette for $300 a week which is pretty good value. If want a more then there are plenty of other places to try. Lots of eating places are close by including KFC, Whtie Spot, Cottage Fish & Chips and Rosettas.
