Port Hardy to Nanaimo
by MaryQ
Does anyone know how long of a drive it is from Port Hardy down to Nanaimo?
Thanks!

Figure 4 hours in total for a first time driver.
Road is 2 lanes wide and well maintained to Campbell River and south of there is 4 lane.

Sam,
Thanks for your advice, it really helped. It took us 4 hours 15 minutes to go from the ferry port in Port Hardy to the ferry port in Nanaimo. We might have gotten there faster but it was raining and foggy up in the mountains.

The ferry ride to Nanaimo

"The City of Nanaimo"
Nanaimo, is a boaters favorite haven. There are many things to do here. You can stroll along the Pioneer Waterfront Plaza, where you can visit the Farmer's Market or visit the historic centre which is home to the Arts District, where you can wander through the streets, hang out at the local cafe houses, as you stroll along stores and shops. Maybe visit the Old City Quarter , where you can take an historic stroll around the old buildings that were built from the 1800-1900's.

Life in Nanaimo!

"Small town, cosy town."
Nanaimo is the first place I stepped on in north America. You ask me, what do you think about it? --- There isn't really much to complain about. People in this town are friendly, views in this town are pretty, life styles in this town are perfect. What else can you pick on? Nothing, there's nothing bad to say about it.
The picture above was taken in Piper's Lagoon- which is Luke's favourite place in this world.
