The Wine Capital of Canada

Oliver is a really small town in the south Okanagan valley. It's famous for its many wineries which are scattered throughout the valley immediately surrounding the town. There are also several fruit orchards making Oliver a bit of an agricultural hub.
I can't really say I know the town of Oliver that well, although I have been to its Dairy Queen once or twice! Most people who travel from Penticton south to Osoyoos drive through Oliver along Hwy 97.
