questions about Chilcotin

I am interested in visiting here this summer. Interests include horseback riding, flying (either float or regular planes) hiking and kayaking. and of course photography.

I will only have 8-9 days total including travel time to get there. I'd like to spend a few days in Victoria and Vancouver as well. is this something that can be done in 4-5 days?

Yes it can be done. What is your budget? Hgih, mid or low.
There are quite a few ranches that offer riding and float planes are available for charter.

Prince George has some great scenery around it. If you have a chance, drive down some of the Pine Pass (take the highway out of town towards Chetwynd). Great photo oppertunities!

Thank you for the links, too. The ranch looks beautiful.

The more I read the more I can't decide if I want to base in Victoria, and just go on some flying trips, or, base out in the sticks and fly as well as hike and maybe horseback ride a little too. sounds like the ranch offers all that.

are there other ranch/spas out there? thank you!

Pine Pass is great. You may want to fly, drive or take the train to Prince Rupert and the Ferry to Vancouver Island. You could make it a circle trip

The area around Prince George and north is a tremendous area for finding high quality jade (nephrite). Three quarters of the world's jade comes from B.C.
The best B.C. nephrite is bought by local artists and transformed into artwork which is in demand internationally. The largest sculpture made of B.C. nephrite is probably the Buddha commissioned for the Wat Dhammongkol Monastery in Bangkok. It was carved from a 32 tonne nephrite boulder. This transaction was worth about $350,000 to the Jade West Group of Companies.
