Eagle Bluff Bed and Breakfast

Quaint and comfortable right on Cow Bay

A dear little B&B right on the wharf in the heart of Cow Bay. This B&B has character and heart - breakfasts are delicious and generous, cooked "live" and served by hostess Mary in the country-style dining room / kitchen upstairs.

Downstairs, the common area also has a large dining table overlooking the harbour, with internet access (intermittent everywhere in Prince Rupert, not just at this B&B), a range of books of local interest for browsing on wet afternoons, and a fridge to store your own food.

I had a private room with shared bath but I believe all the other rooms had private baths. No TV in my room but the others may have them, so ask when you book.

My room was small and simple but warm and quiet at night; the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The other rooms I think overlooked the bay itself and the yacht moorings, but mine faced the front entrance, so no view except of passing pedestrians.

The visitor's centre is next door, as is the jetty where the tour boats depart. The best local restaurants, and the little shops of Cow Bay are all within a short walk. The popular Cow Bay Cafe (bookings essential) shares the B&B building (and sometimes its kitchen chairs!)

If you are after somewhere simple, clean and friendly, close to everything in the old part of town, this is the place to stay.

Unique Quality: The Eagle Bluff after which this B&B takes its name is right across the road, and dozens of eagles roost (do eagles roost?) here.

Eagles can be seen nearby all day, in the pines on the Bluff itself, or gliding over the bay.

Sometimes there is literally an eagle adorning on every branch of the pine trees - like enormous Christmas decorations.

Take a good camera!
