The town of Salmon Arm is located on Shuswap Lake along the Trans Canada Highway. It bills itself as the Houseboat Capital of Canada. Most people just drive through Salmon Arm on their way to Vancouver or Banff, but the Shuswap Lake area is quite pretty and deserves a look see.
Ah yes, Salmon Arm. Funny name, fun place. Salmon Arm is about 4 1/2 hours from Vancouver give or take a little time for coffee stops at Timmy's, speeding tickets etc. and it is where my brother Jason, his wife Shannon, and my nephew Aden make their home. I don't get to make the trip up to visit often enough but fun times are had by all when we manage to come together!
