The most famous hike in Squamish is the Stawamus Chief Trail. The trail takes you along the back of the chief up to the top of the granite rock where you can look down the face of the cliff. The view from above is supposed to be spectacular, as you could see all the surrounding mountains, glaciers, forests and Howe Sound.
The West Coast Railway Heritage Park is located just off Highway 99 in Squamish, BC on the way to or from Whistler. In a beautiful mountain setting, the 12-acre Heritage Park tells the story of the role of the railways in creating Western Canada. Open year round.
If driving between Vancouver and Whistler, a must is a stop at Squamish's region SHANNON FALLS. Breathtaking views, a rich forest and a charming river. Shannon Falls is about 1 hour drive from Vancouver.

Convenient older "character" residential area 2nd Ave to 6th Ave. - on smaller level lots (average 50x100). Blind channel redevelopment apartments. Walk to all services. Varied Zoning - industrial and residential mix.
