Blue Horizon Hotel (Part 2)

Attached are more photographs of the room which my wife and i stayed at the Blue Horizon. The room is clean and spacious, and we had a wonderful time here.

This hotel is very suitable for normal stay and honeymoon, remember to ask for a high floor room (25th floor and above) facing southwards overlooking English Bay and you will be treated with very good views.

Blue Horizon Hotel (Part 1)

The Blue Horizon Hotel is a very good hotel located at Robson Street, which is the famous shopping area of Vancouver. The location is very good, with shopping, restaurants and walking distance from the various attractions, including Stanley Park, Canada Centre, Gastown, Chinatown etc.

The service is good, rooms are clean and spacious (see photos). The best part are the spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas for high floors. If you book early, ask for a room on the highest floors (25th floor and above) facing southwards towards English Bay and you will have really fantastic views. See the photos to appreciate the scenery!

The Best Bed Ever!

Our main focus on this short trip to Vancouver was Stanley Park. We wanted to stay at the Sylvia, but it was full, so the Blue Horizon was our next mid-range best choice. It's a much bigger hotel and on Robson Street - but toward the middle / west. We could easily walk to the park from here.

All the rooms have balconies, and if you can get a western view, it is beautiful. (Although it rained a lot of the time we were there, so the clouds limited the view.)

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, and I truly think the beds at the Blue Horizon are the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever visited!

Excellent Hotel, Great Inner City Location

We had 7 days at this hotel and had a most enjoyable time. The hotel is centrally located on Robson Street which is the best street for shopping, restaurants, entertainment and whatever else is happening in town.

The hotel has 30 levels with outstanding views from all rooms on the higher level. We had 2 days on the 27th floor with city views and glimpses of the inner harbour and parts of north Vancouver. On return from our 7 day cruise to Alaska we had 5 days on the 28th level which gave us outstanding views over the city to English Bay and the ships entering the port.

Both our rooms were extremely large and comfortable with 2 king size beds, good bathroom, refrigerator etc. The rooms had been renovated recently, were very clean and serviced. the hotel has a good restaurant, Inlets which provides good meals at reasonable prices from 6am to 10 pm.

There is a small indoor pool and gym.

The central location enabled us to walk to Stanley Park in 20 minutes, the beach in 15 minutes, Canada Place and Gas town within 20 minutes.

Unique Quality: The large rooms and views from the higher levels. Walking distance to many attractions with Robson Street being the main street for Shopping, Restaurants etc.

Great Location, Large Rooms, Great Service!

I travel to Vancouver, BC at least six times a year and I've stayed at a number of different hotels. I always come back to the Blue Horizon Hotel. It is centrally located on Robson Street which is the heart of the shopping district and is a mere few blocks from the business district and the nightlife. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all.

Unique Quality: The rooms are huge compared to most other hotels in Vancouver. I was surpised to discover a pool, hot tub, and sauna. All are well maintained and, seemingly, not often used. The views are great from every room if you're on one of the higher floors. Some of the lower floor may provide only a view of the parking structure, unfortunately.

Great Location

The Blue Horizon has a great central location on Robson Street. The rooms are clean, large, and the bathrooms have a new modern look. There is a restaurant/lounge on the lower level of the hotel and tons of shopping/restaurants in both directions of the hotel. My only complaint is the noise level. I had a room facing Robson Street, and could hear the partyers until the early morning hours out on the street below (and I was on the 15th floor).

Nice Accommodations in the Heart of Vancouver

The Blue Horizon is an older hotel but one that seems to have been well kept up. It's located in the heart of the city on the very popular Robson Street, and just a short walk away from Stanley Park.

Prices range between Cdn$109 to $299 depending on room type and the type of year.

Unique Quality: They offer free high-speed Internet in every room, a feature that is one of my #1 priorities these days!

The Blue Horizon Hotel

Great place to be right on Robson St; where some of the expensive shops are!
The price was cheap on the low season from November to April.

Unique Quality: Nice and fairly large room with a view if you are up on the 27-31st Floor and on the water side ie Stanley Park.

Lots of different restaurants, pubs, coffee houses like Starbucks, Second Cup etc.
I think there was one in just every block!!
don't forget the window shopping on this trendy street!

You don't need to have a car here! Walking, taxis and buses are all around and close by.

Great Location!!

Large rooms with great views. Right on Robson street, which is a great location. You can walk to tons of stuff. I would recommend this hotel becuase it was very comfortable and in a great location.

Unique Quality: Really nice big windows made for great views. Also there is an indoor pool, so even if its raining outside you can go for a swim or take a break in the spa or sauna.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently, we are thinking of booking a week at end of June 2007. Particularly interested in the condition of the room, the bathroom.Thinking of Deluxe Queen room, as long as furnishings etc are clean and in good condition we will be happy.

This hotel has been around for years. It is well kept, and very nice. The hotel gets great reviews from past guests at www.tripadvisor.com. They have a very nice coffee shop where one may sit inside or outside, nice lobby, and according to tripadvisor, rooms are very nice.

I've stayed there before. I definitely found it to be dated (I felt like I had stepped back to 1985), but it's clean, quiet and affordable. They say that all rooms are corner rooms, but that's because they've got funny corners! There are EIGHT rooms per floor, not four! You won't find anything better for the price, but you could find something significantly nicer if you spent a bit more.

I stayed at the Blue Horizon, found it to be very clean. The room was a decent size, the bathroom well appointed. However, the pool is very small and the gym area merely a couple of machines in a very small place next to the pool. The coffee shop is good and I found the staff very helpfull. The best part of the hotel is its location on Robson street, if you want to shop its right in the heart of it.
