The Seymour Hostel
Unique Quality: I lived here for a month when I first got to Vancouver and highly recommend it. It is part of the Cambie Hostels chain (see the like below). Last summer the Cambie, related to The Cambie bar, had bed bug problems. The Seymour Hostel, on the other hand, was clean and had free coffee and muffins in the morning.
