A Long Walk, But Worth It.
We were staying in Gastown and decided to walk to Grouse Mountain. It's quite a walk, but crossing the gardens and bridge was fantastic. You should try it!!
We caught the ferry back to Gastown on our way back.

Is there any cheap way to travel from San F to Vancourver then back again? I must leave at San F.
Check www.allegiantair.com The flights leave Oakland and fly to Bellingham (40 miles south) then you take www.quickcoach.com to Vancouver
It also depends on the date of travel. United and Air Canada are the only nonstop carriers. Alaska Air will offer connecting service
If you like train travel, then may I suggest the Coast Starlight train, From San Fran to Seattle,

and then the Cascades train to Vancouver:

...or then, there is always the bus...

Vancouver est unique en son genre, imaginé une grande ville, avec des gens relaxe et la splendeur des montagnes et de la mer. À voir.
Vancouver is one of kind, imagine a big city, with relaxes peoples into amazing land, hills ans sea. A must.
Visit Stanley Park and the Aquarium there. Take a walk or bike around the seawall. Some of the scenery is unbelievable! Seeing the huge old trees in both Stanley Park and Lighthouse Park. They ar incredible.
For families a day out with the kids to Granville Island is ideal as they have a special "Kids Only Market" which is adjacent to to the main market. Let the kids spend time in their section and then they will be happy to accompany you in the main market which has much on offer which would interest kids.
One of the nicest memories is our few hours at Granville Market, not the market itself which is a nice attraction but sitting on the wharf and having lunch whilst taking in the spectacular view provided by False Creek, the boats moored in the marinas, the apartment buildings on the other side of the Creek, Granville Bridge and the activity of the market.
If you do not enjoy any of the above you can always fall back onto People Watching, and you most certainly will be entertained.

A: "You could try Alegiant Air. They fly out of Bellingham and they are very reasonably priced. I think they fly nonstop to Oakland or San Francisco."
