Nice Gem close to the Airport

Great staff at check in, lobby VERY clean. Free internet, free breakfast from 6am-10am which includeds: cerals, bagels, muffins, waffles, ham, fruit, juices, coffee, tea, toast.

I had booked the king suite and it was perfect. The bed spread was white and inviting. Great little place to stay if you have an early morning flight out.

Corner Suite

If you are not travelling with a coach tour, call ahead a few months before your visit and ask for an upgrade. We ended up in a corner suite, complete with jaccuzi bath. Floor to ceiling glass walls give a panoramic view of Vancouver.

I am impressed

Tripadviors was right again. We chose this hotel based on the reviews written by the users and not the travel editors who frequently don’t' tell you the whole truth. All I can say is previous reviews hit right on. The hotel is very clean and well equipped. Rooftop patio/whirlpool, free internet and breakfast are certainly pluses. Can't complain much about the parking fee because $12 a day is pretty reasonable for a city. Love the location of the hotel--so conveniently located to shopping districts, Chinatown, Gastown, and even Stanly Park is within walking distance. The decor is not stunning but comfortable enough that you feel relax upon entrace.

Vancouver offers great Chinese food and dim sum and many of them are clean and tastefully decorated. My recommendations are the Floata in Chinatown and Kirin on Alberni St. The Floata opens as early as 7:30 am. So if you are tire of the hotel breakfast and want to try something new, the Floata is a good option. It so cheap, less than $2.00 per dim sum dish. Now if you want to go for an awarding winning Chinese restaurant, then go to Kirin. The ambiance is attractive and the food is exquisite.

Great Place to Stay

This hotel is located on Robson Street, which offers numerous nearby retail stores and restaurants. It is also located across the street from B.C. Stadium. The hotel is also walking distance from Chinatown and numerous downtown locations. A free shuttle service will take you from the hotel to any downtown location. The rooms are spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows are very attractive. We stayed in a jacuzzi room, and the tub was big and very enjoyable. The hotel staff are very helpful. The breakfast buffet is much better than the typical hotel breakfast, offering eggs, sausage, and numerous breads, cereals, muffins, etc.. We were very happy with this hotel and would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed at the Vancouver Hampton Inn & Suites for two nights ( May26&27). We picked this hotel based on other reviews we read on this site. For the price we were very pleased with this hotel. We had a roomy one bedroom suite. The decor was basic but tidy. The bed was comfotable. The kitchen area was so clean it looked as if it had never been used. The breakfast buffet was kept very well stocked. The breakfast area was kept very clean.
They have a very decent exercise room on the top floor. There is also a laundry area on that floor.
This hotel had everything we needed, amenities, location, & price. We would stay here again.

what a great deal

What a great hotel. We had a buffet breakfast, and a bag breakfat in the lobby for the times we were on the go. A complimentary shuttle service for the downtown area. The rooms were clean and had a microwave and a refrigerator. There is a fitness room, laundry facility and a rooftop view. They even had a bowl of complimentary apples in the fitness room.

The location was great. It is at the end of Robson street across from BC Place.

There was no event at BC Place during our stay, so I don't know if that would be a problem.

Biggest suites in town for the money

Stayed at the Hampton Suites Downtown for 5 nights last week! Super staff, clean rooms, and big! Good breakfast but extremely busy if the hotel is full. Staff was helpful and quick to correct any problems. The restaurant "Zachery's" is good too. Great BURGERS! Quick service!! Good security because you must have your room key to get into the elevator and parking garage. I would choose this hotel again. Stayed in three different hotels on our trip and this was the best!! This hotel is very far and above any other Hampton I've stayed in. You won't be sorry!

We picked this hotel based on previous reviews & were very pleased that we did. We had a standard double room which looked out over BC Place. The room was very clean, decorated in a contemporary style (as was the hotel) & much bigger than we expected, with plenty of room for two. The location was excellent - we would recommend Yaletown as the place to go to eat, and it's very close-by.
The free breakfast was great - although get your timing right as all the tables might be taken. Very helpful & friendly staff. Also felt very secure - you needed your key card to get into the garage & to operate the lifts. Go to the 16th floor & admire the views!

Excellent, Excellent!

We stayed on the 8th floor corner room - floor to ceiling windows all the way on 2 sides - a magnificent view of the City! Large spacious room, luxury sheets, extremely comfortable bed, handwritten welcome note from the Sales Manager, and the small box of chocolates were just some of the great perks. The room was spot-clean and fresh daily. We would definitely stay again - it was one of the nicest rooms we've had in ages. The complementary buffet breakfast was attended to by courteous and efficient staff, but finding a table was difficult during peak hours. We were within reasonable walking distance to the aqua buses, Chinatown, main shopping districts, and Yaletown around the corner. We loved it!
