Good tourist hotel

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Centre Broadway for two nights, just before flying back to Europe.
The hotel is very acceptable.

There are many tourists groups, that arrive, eat and leave all day.

The lunch buffet was really good and very cheap. The parking facilities are excellent: free parking for guests in the parking garage next to / underneath the hotel.
Rooms are standard business rooms. They are well equipped and spacious.

West Broadway is a busy street with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It's an hour walk to downtown Vancouver.

romantic view, haha

Now I told you how lovely the view from the good ol' Holiday Inn is....

How bout a romantic picnic in the parking lot? You can pitch a blanket over your truck bed, sipping on fine wine, while inhaling the gas fumes that marinate on the concrete.

It's my idea of a romantic date. Hahaha. Aren't I easy to please?

what a view

Now I'm sure there's a view if you check into this hotel, but why pay when you can hang out in the parking garage for free?!?

The view of downtown Vancouver and the surrounding mountains is magnificent from here.

Unique Quality: view of downtown/mountains

Decent and Reasonably Priced...

We chose this hotel mainly for its location, for its reasonable prices, and because we knew it had a fairly good reputation as a good hotel.

The room we stayed in had 2 queen-sized beds, a full bathroom, cable TV, room-service, air-conditioning, and a newspaper delivered every morning.

Our view from the 8th floor wasn't the best and the traffic was a bit noisy at times if we didn't keep the window closed.

I'd recommend you ask for a room higher up and on the BACK side of the hotel for the best view and least amount of traffic sound.

Unique Quality: At the hotel you will find:

~ Indoor Pool
~ Pets Allowed
~ High-speed Internet Access
~ Sauna
~ Health/Fitness Center On-Site

Holiday Inn Vancouver Center

Holiday Inn Vancouver Center

CDN $100 plus tax

Unique Quality: The Holiday Inn is a short bus ride from downtown (take either the number 9 or the 99 B-line and change at Granville), close to plenty of Broadway restaurants, and just a couple of bus stops from a Sky Train station. There's a coffee shop just next door, the nearby London Drugs store will supply almost anything you might possibly need, and if it's fast food you want, McDonalds and Wendys are only two blocks away. The hotel itself is pretty reasonably priced at around CDN $100 a night plus tax. Rooms are spacious with king sized beds, cable, and air conditioning. There's a heated (although not quite heated enough) swimming pool, sauna and mini gym on the fifth floor, and you can get an all-you-can-eat breakfast downstairs in the hotel restaurant for the bargain price of CDN $9.95. Parking is available at CDN $4 per day for hotel guests. Ask for a room on the 10th floor or above for the best views. Normal check out is at midday, but if you ask they'll push it back to 2pm, which can be very handy if it's a cold morning and you've nothing much to do.

A: "You could try Alegiant Air. They fly out of Bellingham and they are very reasonably priced. I think they fly nonstop to Oakland or San Francisco."
