CDN $100 plus tax
The Holiday Inn is a short bus ride from downtown (take either the number 9 or the 99 B-line and change at Granville), close to plenty of Broadway restaurants, and just a couple of bus stops from a Sky Train station. There's a coffee shop just next door, the nearby London Drugs store will supply almost anything you might possibly need, and if it's fast food you want, McDonalds and Wendys are only two blocks away. The hotel itself is pretty reasonably priced at around CDN $100 a night plus tax. Rooms are spacious with king sized beds, cable, and air conditioning. There's a heated (although not quite heated enough) swimming pool, sauna and mini gym on the fifth floor, and you can get an all-you-can-eat breakfast downstairs in the hotel restaurant for the bargain price of CDN $9.95. Parking is available at CDN $4 per day for hotel guests. Ask for a room on the 10th floor or above for the best views. Normal check out is at midday, but if you ask they'll push it back to 2pm, which can be very handy if it's a cold morning and you've nothing much to do.
