Lord Stanley Suites
Between C$120 and C$200, depending on the room and the season.
Unique Quality: This hotel is only a couple of years old, and features very comfortable suites; they're a bit on the small side, but still nice, and the south-facing ones have balconies. The north-facing rooms may be a bit noisy, depending on the traffic on Georgia St., but to compensate, they all have absolutely stunning views of Burrard Inlet and the mountains beyond.

Wouldn't send my pets here.
Manager should try gardening instead. Clueless. You might think it would be impossible to screw up this location. but she's only the beginning. Everything is on the cheap, including the rooms, fitness center and continental breakfast. The noise on Georgia Street makes the back side of the hotel uninhabitable until the fourth or fifth floor.
If you can't do better than this in the same neighborhood, stay somewhere else.
