The multi-story building features a classy red-brick exteriror with colorful and modern decor inside. Units are very clean and provide basic cooking/dining equipment as well as colorful linens. Some have fireplaces. Furnishings are not ostentatious, but reasonably new and well kept up.
One caveat: the staff keeps limited office hours, but an answering service is available round-the-clock to help with emergencies and lockouts, etc. I'd highly recommend this to travelers wishing for a fairly luxurious "home" experience during their stay. Also, parking is available but it's a tight squeeze/underground garage experience.
The Rosellen Suites offers a "Central Park West"-like luxurious urban setting for very reasonable rates. It's convenient to the West End shops and cafes and right on the edge of Stanley Park. Evidently it's popular with movie crews (from MY home town, the last thing we wanted to see up there, but never ran into any!) and business people on extended stays.
GIven the high-density environment, it's surprisingly quiet as well.
The neighborhood offers everything you need; there's a 24-hour Blenz coffee franchise a block away (YES!) and small markets on every corner. Within a few blocks, there's a small indoor mall with a Shoppers Drug Mart and Safeway supermarket. City life with suburban conveniences!
